FIRE NEST STUDIO LTD - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By completing the booking process and payment, you agree and accept our Terms and Conditions which form your contract with Fire Nest Studio Ltd.

PRICING AND PAYMENT We strive to price our workshops fairly and offer good value for money. We therefore maintain a clear cancellation policy to ensure we cover our costs and the ongoing viability of our workshops. We urge you to carefully check your availability before booking.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

No refunds are offered. We're a small, independent studio and refunds are not sustainable for our business model.

However, we ARE flexible! If you provide fair warning and a genuine reason for cancellation, we will happily reschedule you to another available date - no problem at all.

If WE cancel your workshop due to illness or low booking numbers, you will be offered a full refund or option to reschedule.

VOUCHERS AND GIFT EXPERIENCES

Vouchers purchased from Fire Nest Studio Ltd are non-refundable and have no cash value. Vouchers may be used toward the booking of any available workshop subject to availability.

In the event that a workshop booked using a voucher is cancelled by Fire Nest Studio Ltd, a replacement voucher of equivalent value will be issued. No cash refund will be provided for voucher-based bookings under any circumstances.

Vouchers are non-transferable and may not be resold.

NON-ATTENDANCE AND LATE ARRIVALS

In the event of non-attendance or arriving more than 15 minutes late to classes, it is not possible to provide alternative studio time or reschedule your session. Participants arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time will be unable to participate, as our sessions cannot wait to begin and catching up late arrivals takes valuable time away from other participants in the class.

Your class is scheduled at a set time and date to cover tuition costs and maintain the planned structure of lessons. As our classes are typically full, it is not possible to swap sessions or use the studio outside of allotted class times.

TRANSFERS Transfer requests to alternative workshops or courses must be made in writing by email at least 5 days before the start date. Transfers are subject to availability and we have no obligation to ensure suitable alternatives are available. A booking can only be transferred once - subsequent transfer requests will be treated as cancellations.

COURSE CONTENT AND SCHEDULING We reserve the right to change the timing, date, or instructor of any course to maintain service quality or due to circumstances beyond our control. Fire Nest reserves the right to cancel workshops or courses if insufficient bookings are received, and will provide as much notice as possible. Participants will be offered a full refund or rescheduling option. Fire Nest will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from course amendments or cancellations.

TECHNICAL ISSUES AND BREAKAGES Due to the inherent nature of ceramics and glass work, there is always an element of risk of technical failure or breakages during the making, drying, or firing processes, for which we cannot be held responsible. The firing process involves complex temperature cycles reaching up to 1000 degrees Celsius over 24-hour periods and cannot guarantee uniform outcomes. We do not provide refunds for broken or damaged work; however, we always endeavor to resolve issues with appropriate solutions such as remaking items or re-firing where possible.

COLLECTION OF FINISHED WORK Allow approximately 6-8 weeks for ceramic pieces to be fired and ready for collection. For pottery painting and glass work, please allow approximately 4-5 weeks. These are estimations, not guarantees. Lead times may be significantly longer during busy periods, peak seasons, or due to circumstances beyond our control (illness, bereavement, etc.). We are not responsible if items take longer than estimated due to kiln scheduling, technical issues, or high-volume periods.

You will be notified by email from hello@firenest.co.uk when your work is ready for collection, along with self-collection box details (located outside our studio). Items will be placed in either Box 1, Box 2 or Box 3 with padlock access details provided.

IMPORTANT - Email Notification: We send collection notification emails to the address used when booking. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam/junk folder first. We keep records of all emails sent. If you believe you have not received your notification, please email us with your booking details and we will resend.

IMPORTANT - Collection Deadline: You have 30 days from the collection notification email to retrieve your items. Items not collected within this timeframe will unfortunately be disposed of due to storage limitations.

IMPORTANT - No Drop-Ins: We do not allow drop-in collections as we cannot guarantee studio availability. You must await the official collection email with access details. Self-collection boxes are located outside the studio and are only accessible with the padlock codes provided in your collection email.

POTTERY STATUS UPDATES AND DAILY COMMUNICATION

We do not provide daily status updates or progress checks on your pottery pieces. You will receive ONE email notification from hello@firenest.co.uk when your work is ready for collection with access details. Due to managing 400+ pieces monthly in a two-person studio, individual updates are not possible. Repeated requests for status updates will not accelerate timelines.

PRICING AND PRICE CHANGES

All prices displayed on our website and promotional materials are correct at the time of publication. However, we reserve the right to amend our prices at any time without prior notice.

Price Protection: Once you have completed your booking and payment, the price you paid is guaranteed regardless of any subsequent price increases.

Price Increases: Workshop prices may be adjusted due to increases in material costs, venue expenses, utility costs, or other operational factors. Any price changes will be reflected on our website and apply to new bookings made after the change date.

Promotional Offers: Special offers, discounts, and promotional pricing are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. Promotional codes cannot be used retrospectively on existing bookings.

Group Discounts: Any group discounts mentioned are subject to minimum numbers being maintained. If group numbers fall below the minimum threshold, standard pricing will apply.

PRIVATE SESSIONS AND GROUP BOOKINGS

Minimum Numbers: Private sessions require a minimum of 6 participants. Bookings with fewer than 6 people will be added to our public schedule for others to join.

Private Session Benefits: Private bookings have exclusive use of the studio space during their allocated time. You are welcome to bring your own food, drinks, decorations, and refreshments to create your desired atmosphere.

Pricing: Private session pricing is the same as our standard workshop rates per person. Group discounts may apply for bookings over 10 people - please enquire for details.

Booking Requirements: Private sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. We require full payment or a deposit to secure private bookings.

Cancellation Policy: Private session cancellations are subject to our standard cancellation terms. Due to the exclusive nature of private bookings, we may require longer notice periods for changes or cancellations.

Additional Services: For private sessions requiring travel to external venues, additional charges will apply including mileage costs at £0.40 per mile and any setup/equipment transportation fees.

Participant Numbers: Final participant numbers must be confirmed 2 weeks before the session. Any reduction in numbers below the minimum booking will still incur the minimum charge.

REFRESHMENTS AND AMENITIES

What We Provide: All materials, tools, and expert instruction are included in your workshop fee.

What We Don't Provide: We do not supply food, drinks, or refreshments during our workshops.

What You Can Bring: You are welcome to bring your own refreshments, including hot and cold drinks, snacks, and light meals. This is particularly encouraged for longer workshops or private sessions.

Water: We recommend bringing water, especially for longer sessions, to keep yourself hydrated while crafting.

Dietary Requirements: As we do not provide food, please ensure you bring appropriate refreshments if you have specific dietary needs or requirements.

HEALTH AND SAFETY All participants must respect Health and Safety regulations, staff, and other studio users. Repeated failure to comply will result in immediate termination of the workshop without refund.

You acknowledge that:

  • Fire Nest Studio Ltd cannot be held responsible for injuries caused through misuse of studio equipment

  • Fire Nest is not responsible for damage to personal work or belongings
