You can now hire our Studio for the use of the Pottery Wheel or for hand-building projects. Our Studio is based in Kempston West End (MK43 8RU). The hourly rate is £10 per hour for both the Pottery Wheel and Hand-Building Hire. You can choose add-on options such as using our Glazes, and our Kiln for firings (however you will need to add these extras to your cart individually). You can hire as little or as often as you like.

We do also hire our Kiln, so you can fire your pieces. They will require both a bisque firing and a glaze firing. Prices for this depend on how many items you have, and whether they require a different temperature to what we currently programme our Kiln to.

Please read our Studio Terms and Conditions carefully below before booking:

• Our Studio hire is suitable for students who are already competent on the pottery wheel and have been to previous classes. The hire is not for us to teach you how to do the pottery wheel or hand-building, this is just for you to use independently.

• We ask that you take your own equipment and pottery work home with you each time you hire, unless you are leaving items to go into the Kiln due to limited storage space.

• Our Pottery Wheels are small pottery wheel machines with a compact structure. It comes with a removable water basin and an 28cm aluminum alloy turntable that can rotate in two directions. It is electric and uses a foot pedal or hand-control adjust the speed.

• You are welcome to bring your own clay and tools with you, however you can purchase clay from us and we can provide you with some of our tools also.

• If you would like your items to be fired, then you will need to speak with us about hiring our Kiln for firings. We run firings regularly for Stoneware Clay, both bisque firings (1000 degrees) and glaze firings (1250 degrees). If you need a different temperature that what we currently run to, please let us know and we can work out a quote for this.

• Please arrive on time for your booking so that you will be ready to start on time for your slot. Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy.

• You will need to leave the wheel, bats, tools and splash pan completely clean after use, you have 15 minutes allocated to do this after your 1 hour time slot.

• You are required to cover the cost of any damage caused to the equipment that occurs while you are using it. This includes the wheel, splash pan, and any tools or wheel bats you might use.
